New *TBS

I want to get back into my old writing mode. Even if I'm writing TBS, it's a kick start. Any therapist will tell you writing is good for what ails you. I think its the long cold winter that's got to me.

Speaking of therapist, has anyone ever wondered why therapist is spelled that way? I understand how someone going for help, because of a sexual attack, would be totally freaked out if they though about it. Then again, if you are paying for one yourself, your checkbook may feel that same pain.

Why do women still line their lips with a shade darker than the lip color they are wearing? I never like the look when it was considered in style. I still dislike the look and more so when they line just above their lip on their SKIN.

I have dark circles under my eyes. I have blogged about it a few times. I continue to search for the cure all, but would even settle for a good cover up. There is none to be found that works for me. I try every suggestion, but as yet, nothing does it. In my forever search for something new, I've noticed another WTF???

Why do *mostly middle aged* women wear WHITE eye liner, shadow, and concealer slathered over every inch of what is considered the eye area? Another beauty tip I've somehow missed the whole point of.

Meh, both remind me of the badly applied tranny look.

Summer can't get here quick enough!

::: Blowing Dust off Blog:::

I think Ree is feeling sorry for this abandoned blog. She's having me blow the dust off and do this meme that's been going around. Thanks Ree ... I think!

The latest meme making the rounds goes like this:
  • Respond to and rework the meme.
  • Answer the questions on your own blog.
  • Replace one question and add one question.
  • Tag 8 people.

T's and jeans.

Hi Thomas !!!

Hey Thomas, either I am having the time of my life or I am boring as hell.

Seriously? When I have gone this long without a post?

Not even when I was at BlogHer last year in San Fransisco without a computer!

I even resort to posting TBS just so I'm not wiped off the face of blogersville.

So, even though I don't have anything quirky, earth shattering, funny, or informative to share, I think I'll post this photo I saw on the internet.

It doesn't need any words, it speaks for itself.

Slow Days Are Okay Once in Awhile

Some days I have so much to do at work, I don't take a lunch. Other days, I have most of my work caught up by noon.

[Perfect for justifying a 2 hour lunch with my sister San]

For the most part, I have things coming across my desk throughout the day that I work on, and I usually go home each night without leaving work unfinished. [O.C.D.]

Then there are days like today. When I left last night, I was all caught up and since I've been here this morning, I haven't had much to do.

So here I am, eating my breakfast of champions catching up on my computer time.

Note:

eBay tab open to check on baseball cards that are listed and selling quite well.

MySpace tab open for on going "Vampire" game ... I'm doing well, lots of blood sucking going on.

G00gle reader tab open to my favorite of Bruce's sites, catching up on my daily reads.

Sun is shinning through my office window but the temp is 12 freakin' degrees.

Blogstipation

It's been almost a week since I last posted.

It still amazes me that I get e-mails asking, "Are you okay? You haven't posted in a couple days?"

I do the same thing to the writers of the blogs I read, but still, I'm verklempt when I get an e-mail of concern. Not all people we meet online are wacko or have ulterior motives. (But I have met a few in that category.) Proof that it just depends on who's pond you're dipping your toes in.

I've noticed a few bloggers with "writer's block" this month. I think there is so much being written before and during the holiday, the peacefulness found after the hustle and bustle is gone, trickles down to abandoning our blogs for a few days.

2009 has started off good for me. I'm happy and looking forward to a year better than the last. A good friend and I are in the process of developing a project that's fun and hopefully will show some profit. As we get ready to launch, I'll tell more.

My kids are doing well, my fish is still alive (hasn't pooped yet, but still alive), I still have my job (Michigan is #1 on the unemployment charts) but, mother nature paid a visit to Michigan and dumped a ton of snow on us this past weekend.

*Mistress Evil didn't mind the snow. She always finds something interesting to do when she's snowed in.

*I know family, TMI, just pretend you don't know me.

S h h h h h h h

i i i i i i i t t t t t t t t t .....

I have so many things going on.

Some things I can't blog about, some things I'm sure you'd be bored to read about and some things that you wouldn't believe in a million years.

Hopefully I'll be back to blogging my usual trivial BS soon.

I miss no brainier days.

The Upside?

Just look at it as one "personality" for each day of the week.

Any questions?

I didn't think so.

McCain Taps Palin

Who writes these "breaking news" sub-titles?
Brilliance or stupidity?
Either way, it gets us talking about them.

Except he's 72 and she's 44 ... the ewwwww factor.

Analyze This (or not)

The following were search terms that brought people to my blog:

  • Bruised Banana
  • Boob Light
  • No Boys Allowed
  • Blue Martini
  • Boob Chain
  • Hip Hugger
  • Chin Burn From Making Out
  • 40 Pound Watermelon
  • Pete Of All Trades
  • Dominatrix
Do I have an incognito kinky porn site here?

And for the heck of it, here's a Trojan ad that was on the back of a restroom door. A warning to women trolling in the bars:

And yes, I use my time wisely while peeing ... I took this photo.

(I know, using kinky, porn and Trojan will bring more kooks!)

That took balls ...

... or was it guts?

What's the difference?

"That took Guts"
vs
"That took Balls"

Guts:

Arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom and having the guts to ask, "Are you still cleaning or are you flying somewhere?"

Balls:

Coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume, beer, and with lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the azz and having the balls to say "You're next."

Either way dude, you're spent!

How Was Your Morning?

It should only take me 15 minutes tops to blow dry my hair in the morning.

It usually takes 30. Why? Because I have to stop and answer the phone.

Wait, I thought I heard the phone ring. Wasn't that the phone?
No missed call. Back to drying.

Okay, THAT'S the phone now. Stop drying. Nope, it's not ringing.

I hear it again. I ignore it because I know there is no one calling me ... the phone is now on the counter in the bathroom with me.

But wait. Did I just hear the door bell?

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I discovered just after a hot shower, when my face is all warm and steamy, I can take a charge card and scrape it along my chin and forehead and really clear out the pores. Gross I know, but it works. BTW, I'm one of those types that makes a mess of her face cleaning things up that aren't even there.

So I am doing this and I scraped a bit too much this morning, on my chin. It looked like a rug burn. A rug burn without the fun that could possibly go along with chin rug burns. Thankfully, a cold compress and face powder made it go away before I left for work.

Oh be quiet, you know you are going to try the charge card thing. Especially since it works!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

And while I am feeling like "Rosanne Roseannadana" with my grossness.

Do you cut your nose hairs? Have you ever REALLY looked ... in a magnified mirror girl? Well, I do and have for a couple years now. And this morning, damn, I cut myself. But, at least I have no nose hair.

And I bet ya'll though I was lady like!

(I am, but just in public)

36. Refer to a woman's genitalia as her "nappy dugout."

37. Cook exclusively on a George Foreman grill.

38. Wear a jersey with the name of a professional athlete on the back.

39. Employ any other pickup line besides "Hi, my name is _____. What's yours?"

40. Listen to Pink Floyd.

41. Use Internet acronyms, especially ROFL and LOL.

42. Shave any part of your body except your face.

43. Enjoy Jerry Bruckheimer movies.

44. Run with the bulls in Pamplona.

45. Attend Mardi Gras, Carnaval, or Burning Man.

46. Own a fish tank.

47. Fall asleep in public.

48. Call drugs by their street names (e.g., junk, smack, or whitebag).

49. Pick a fistfight by thrusting out your neck, flexing, and screaming, "It's go time!"

*** I decided to add one of my own thoughts***

50. Program sound bites or goofy songs as a ringtone in your cell phone.

I don't agree with everything on this list. It would make for a pretty boring guy, but there are a lot that I totally agree with. * photo g00gled, and actually a 12 man beer bong seems quite ingenious for a tailgate party.

Better the Second Time Around?

The past couple days, as I lay on the couch cursing the fact that I am sick, I found myself channel surfing. I watched a couple of my favorite episodes from MASH, Friends, Sex and the City, and Seinfeld.

I know I have seen all of these shows episodes several times over. I can quote the next line as I watch some of them.

One thing I realized though, I never watched any of these shows during their first run, original seasons. I only started watching as they became reruns in syndication.

Do you have a favorite series TV show that you never watched during it's original airing, but watched after it had been released again?

Upside Down

Upside: All the wood trim in the hall, living room, 8 door frames, 1 window and 1 big picture window have been sanded, primed and painted with 2 coats of paint. Now the walls can be painted.

Downside: The kitchen and dining area still hasn't been started.

Upside: My driveway including the backyard, little walkway, front and back porches are all free of snow and ice. Clean down to the concrete.

Downside: It's going to snow tonight.

Upside: My dog Quinn has an appointment to get bathed and groomed and another to get his teeth cleaned. (finally ... PEEEE-YEWWW)

Downside: My hair has grown out of my new style and I have 1.5" roots!

Upside: I have been eating more fiber via flack seed bread, yummy chewy bars, and sprinkled in my yogurt.

Downside: No need to go there. But take note, it works.

Upside: I am caught up at work and have been on line all morning.
Downside: Jack is all caught up too, and I can hear him horking in his office.

Upside: After 5 or more years, last night I picked a color for my nails instead of my usual "French" look.
Downside: It's already chipped this morning, reminding me why I never wear color.

Upside: Detroit Tigers began spring training in Lakeland Florida.
Downside: No way is there a downside to that!

I hope your day ends on an up!
