Aging Gracefully

If I sat next to her at Starbucks, I'd never have recognized her.

If I close my eyes and hear her sing, I know that voice on the first note.

When I was in my teens, I was in awe of her being such a "rockstar".

A female lead in a psychedelic time.

Born today, October 30th, 1939

Happy 69th Birthday Grace.

Indeed, aging Grace-fully

wow.
I can't believe Grace Slick has gotten "old".
I know I age but I always find it odd when I see how much others have aged.
She looks good though....just can't get over the white hair.

DANG! That's Grace Slick? If I remember correctly, it seems like just a couple of years ago in an interview, she was asked why she did not preform any more? She stated "I hate old people that try to act like the young people they used to be and play Rock & Roll". It was something like that...Also she still had dark hair...

Whoa! I'd never have recognized her, either. All things considered, she does look pretty good for her age (although the white hair was quite a shock). Given her history, it's a wonder she's still alive at all.

After having picture after picture of aging movie stars and rock stars that have put themselves under the knife and has injected themselves with Lord-only-knows-what...it is incredibly refreshing to see Ms. Slick in all her beauty. Wow! That hair!! Now I have the urge to dig out the old Jefferson Airplane CD....not the Starship because we are purists here in this house and the old stuff is just better! IMHO.
Happy Birthday, Grace!!
