2008 in a Nutshell

Average Jane posted her end of the year review in a neat way. I decided to give it a try. I'm posting the first line of the first post of each month in 2008.

When I started to go back to look at some of the posts, I noticed an oddity. In 2007 I had 256 posts. In 2008, again, exactly 256 posts. Maybe I should buy a lotto ticket with those numbers.

I don't usually make any resolutions. I'd rather think no expectations, no disappointments. The one thing I'm going to be adamant about is trying my hardest to steer clear from drama's that I find myself getting sucked into. I think it's human nature to get caught up in things, either because you really care or because you feel put on the defense. Either way, nothing ever comes out as you would hope. So, when the daggers are thrown, I'll just have on my armor. I'm going to go back to the simple "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" rule and hope others consider it too.

So, here is my 2008, year in review posts:

January: New Year Cooties It's the 2nd day of the new year, and I'd like to think I have met my germ quota for 2008.

February: January Perfect Post: In Memoriam The monthly Perfect Post Award is hosted by Lindsey and Kimberly.

March: Jack and Hill So you don't have to think:

April: April Fool .... Not! February 2002 - Basement remodeled, drywall, plush carpet, bathroom added.

May: Maybe Michael Jackson is from India This is so bazaar, it should be illegal.

June: Oh Bama! OK, just a little background on my obsession ability to manipulate schmooze my way around events and crowds.

July: Madonna's Childhood Home Fire Last Friday the house that Madonna grew up in caught on fire.

August: Pros and Cons I thought about going to work for a half day to organize my desk into piles so Monday I could begin to catch up.

September: Mystery ... Unsolved Maybe you can help figure this one out.

October: Happy Wednesday Yesterday, I wrote, "Lately, things going on with me are too personal or too political, both of which I don't write in depth about".

November: Hillary Does Ellen Well, she doesn't "do" do Ellen.

December: December? Already Why am I always so shocked when December rolls around?

2008 wasn't a bad year, but I am hopeful 2009 is going to be a better one.

I love your "if you can't say anything nice...." philosophy and will try to join you. I wish us luck!

I am ALWAYS surprised when December rolls around. Why is that? It comes the same damn time every damn year.

It would be fun to see every first line in a continuous paragraph.

Or, maybe "fun" isn't exactly the right word....

I'm thinkin if you can put 'roadkill' in a box to make a point to a co-worker, steering clear of knowingly getting sucked into someone else's drama now that you've put your mind to it, piece a cake...
There are those who thrive on drama like an essential life sustaining vitamin...
