"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."
There will be so many posts and quotes about today.
I've heard this said over the years ...
"It'll be a cold day in hell before a black man is elected president"
Well bundle up bitches, the inauguration is about to begin!

Everyone should drop down and pray for our new president. He has a long road ahead of him!
I'm so excited I'm about to bust.

Personally, I couldn't care less about the new president's color. I just hope he really is the leader this country needs. I know he's a dynamic speech-maker, but I admit to still being leery about his lack of actual experience. (I know I'm going against the grain here. Hope you don't mind....) I will, however, support him as he moves forward in this incredibly difficult job!
Keg: I hear that a lot ... his lack of experience. If that's most of the worry people have, then all is good.
Intelligence trumps experience in this situation. Past leaders had plenty of experience and (admitted) not the intelligence to make the best choices at times.
But, I think we are all in agreement, this is a difficult time and the job ahead isn't going to be easy. Let's hope for better things to come.
Look at your thermometer. It IS cold in hell. ;-) Thank goodness.
Very awesome.
I do solemly swear to watch the boy's back.
Shaka dude.

This is our reconstruction.
As with any difficult task or long road ahead, it begins with a single step, finally a president of the 'people' for the 'people' voted into office by the 'people'. Let us hope that the out going Pres. with the lowest approval rating on record left behind a big mop!!!
