Every year, once it's done, I realize it took less time to fill out the forms, electronically file, and receive it in my bank account (yes, I get returns, I am not in the 6 figure crowd) in less than 10 days.
So here's my check list for today:
W-2's
Medical to be added up ...
Yes people, that is my medical file and I am HEALTHY!
Mostly bills from the two ER trips and the eventual surgery.
Thankfully I'm on a payment plan [for the next 10 years!]
This is to be shredded. Good Lord, this is just from 2008!

Files cleaned and ready to capture all the paid crap for 2009.
But first things first.
Start with this:

You can come and clean out my files. That gives me some incentive. I wish I drank coffee cause the additive looks yummy.
Oh, so that's my problem, I forgot the Godiva!!
When you're done with SGK's files, can you come and clean mine out, too? Gee, thanks! Bring the bottle.....
"Ditto" all of the above :}
LOL. I finally got to printing the w-2's for my coworkers. It took 2 tries. I hope they appreciate it.
Filing tax returns certainly fits into the Audacity of Hope category. Those guys figured out how to say, SURE you can deduct that, then by the time you come full circle, well maybe not, you got some other form to complete. We need tax reform. I get Intuit to do it. I get on line, answer a few questions, bend over and err-um, I’m transmitting something to Salt Lake, I wish it were an STD.
Now I understand why everybody loves coffee so much!
I'm still waiting for 1/2 my shit to come in the mail. They're late this year.
oh snap! you are on the BALL!
Now that's what I call getting it done! Which makes me wonder why my tax guy doesn't have a bar in his waiting area!
I like your orgainzing check list.....especially the final part.
I'm gonna try it your way this year!
Hugs,
Betty
