As Caitlin was going out the door tonight, she quickly decided to change her purse to something smaller. She dumped her purse on the floor, picked out what she wanted to put in the smaller one and left. As I am yelling at her to pick up her mess before she leaves, (which, by the way, the last syllable was muffled out by the click of the front door) I looked closer at what she left behind. Shall we look?
Bathing suit, flip flops, tanning oil, free tanning coupon, nail protectors (those little pink thingys),Victoria Secret sale catalogue, Chi (hair product), flat iron, brush, comb, hair clip, Pamprin, nail polish, cell phone charger, head band, half empty bottle of water, hoop earrings, disposable camera, Hanae Mori spray perfume and lotion, wide band watch, Hello Kitty wallet ( license was gone, whew she took it), Bed Head pallet, 2 mascaras, 2 lipsticks, 2 liners, 3 eye shadows, makeup brush.
I decided to share what was in my purse:
Wallet
Sunglasses
Dental Floss
Pen
Lipstick
Brush
*Taken with cell phone camera, kinda blurry*

snort. That's awesome. Caitlin's purse contains almost exactly what the Middle Child's purse has in it and yours has nearly what mine does...only mine does not have the floss, and does have an old church bulletin with profound thoughts and ideas for dinner on the back!
The Middle Child is not a great big farm girl, she is a iddy bitty thing and practically staggers under the weight of her gigantic purse!
Great blog!
I will be back!

Just goes to show you what happens in a generation. It's all about small and simple now. I did a purse meme a while back and it was fun.
Oh my! I'd never NEVER show anyone the insides of my purse! I'm afraid to look in there myself!!
I just looked to see what I had in my purse. Gah! I think Caitlin learned her purse stuffing skills from her aunt and not her mother. You can also look at it this way...she obviously left some important stuff behind so you know she'll be back. LOL
mary alice : yes, I think both our girls are a wisp of a thing, but boy can they carry their "necessities"!
terri, Patience: the older I get, the less I need and the more I want to carry light because of my bad back
san: I do recall, you can cram a ton of things in your purse, but very organized, nothing hap- hazarded thrown in ... same with your center console in your SUV!
Mine's more like yours, only with too many receipts and scraps of paper shoved in, and a small camera.
Yours looks similar to mine. I have more, but it's more like the keys (both sets) to my car, house keys (separate ring), mom's car keys (since I drive most of the time). I also have my checkbook and little things like headache pills and sugar in case I start to crash. I think I have...two teeny lipsticks in there. Sometimes when I'm lucky I remember to pack my powder in.
I think it's half-full and it's just the average sized purse at that. I'm very organized in it. My godmom however packs everything but the kitchen sink.
I love it! Her purse looks like mine..minus the tanning stuff, since i don't tan. But man, that girl has to have some muscles, that's for sure!
always carry dental floss!
Whoa - is the only thing I can muster in regards to the contents of her purse. One of my girls is soooo there when she starts donning a purse.
Your purse, on the other hand...so minimal, like an IKEA catalog.
Excellent post...I never would've thought "alright then, let's just see what we have here!" and click a picture!
My purse kind of saounds like Caitlins....I've got a whole bunch of stuff that I probably don't really need. I like your system MUCH MUCH better!
Hmmm...I should investigate what's in my back pack...
that is hilarious! i have the problem of carrying the kitchen sink around too...
and i'm so jealous she has the pink chi!
Biddy: LOL, I would have never guessed anyone would notice the pink chi. ^5 to you!
