HEMA

HEMA is a department store in parts of Europe.

Watch this creative on-line bit of advertising,
you can't help but to smile.

Then I found out how this department store handles shoplifters:

I didn't really get the shoplifting video (I need subtitles), but I loved the website!

That is hysterical! I saw the website advertising earlier this week and got a kick out of it. Too funny, a sign, hat, cake, marching band & video... they are so nice in a wicked sort of way to their shop lifters. LOL.

Too funny! It cracked me up that a lot of the products have English names, like "mixer" and "ghettoblaster." Guess the Dutch (it was Dutch, wasn't it?) didn't bother to make up new words for some stuff. Clever site, though.

Did they get the merchandise back? I missed it!

Sounded more German than Dutch to me.. I'm sure they got their stuff back before the security guys actually showed up.. public embarassment works well!

Ha! That works.

Very clever stuff. Nothing like a bit of public humiliation.

I'm not sure who would be more humiliated - the shoplifter (evidently) or the people in the store who have to go along with that "farce". The security guard looked disgusted!!! LOL!! Great advertising though!
