My Dates Last Night:
Well, I started my date out with Mr.Google. After our meal, I changed seats and snuggled up next to Mr.Wikipedia for desert. I looked over on the dance floor and boy oh boy Mr. Spellcheck was moving and shaking, so I joined him. I ended up with Mr. Tweek and his friend Mr. Edit for a wee morning latte before I went home.
Sunshine asked me to guest post today while she is on vacation. She has asked a few others, and gave us a theme to use. The state we live in. I dug into it and forgot how many places I have enjoyed right here in Michigan. I think if I take a vacation this summer, I am going to stay right here where there are many things still I haven't done.
Go on over and visit her site, you can see how my date went *smiles*

you did a great job speaking for our wonderful state. The economy ain't so great but its beautiful and there's plenty to see and do.
Very cool post. There are many beautiful spots in Michigan, but unfortunately, beauty is only skin deep. Michigan NEEDS help and QUICK!
Teri: yes, as much as I don't like the cold, MI has so much to offer vacation and "things to do" for so many.
Michael: I know, but the theme was more towards vacationing. MI as far as jobs and economy suck, more states are in better shape, but we will cycle through it,we are still much better off than most of the world. You and I haven't lived long enough to see a cycle ... think of our grand parents, great grandparents, etc that came through the depression. Until my house goes in foreclosure, I will try to keep positive, lol.
you shameless hussie hehe
You were a very busy lady last night. ;) I'm going over to check out your post at Sunshine's place.
Pimping your state? What kind of nice person does that? Oh, wait ...
Biddy : hee hee hee girls got to have fun! (ugh)
Corky: It was hard deciding what to highlight!
Jami: If I thought pimpin' would help Michigan's economy, I'd be stylin' in a purple velour suit, platform shoes, and a big ole hat with an ostrich feather!
*grins* I think Michigan does need the economic boost. My family's based around Muskegon, and everything there looked like the South had stomped and ground its heel on it. And that's saying something considering how many plants have closed down here.
I used to love my granddaddy's house on the lake, literally it overlooked it, and man, it was so pretty. Clear. And everywhere was green. If y'all didn't have snow, it'd be great to live there. ;)
Ahhhhhh yes... Dancing with Technology. not a bad way to kill a weekend. (If you live in the Antarctic, for example.)
Bossy is totally guilty too - by the way!
Mr. Google made a move on my girl, she's a HotBot. I asked Mr. Jeeves for advice.
He said Google had no right in MySpace.
I said he's a Yahoo! He's AOL if he tries it again.
AnyWho, I'm tired of alltheweb of lies, guess I'll Seeq a better way to data HotBot or at least have a backup.
Did I ever tell you that my Mom is from Michigan? Grand Rapids...I still have family there.
Grand Rapids, Grand Haven and Holland and Mackinaw Island...
I have very, very fond memories of Michigan.
Jessie: Yes,Muskegon is nice in the summer, by the lake ... and I am with you about winter. I ski at the fireplace with a warm drink waiting for the freezing people to come in from their runs.
Bossy: Well, at least I know I don't have to put out at the end of those techno dates, lol
goader: well done!
Kevin: thats great ... so you know first hand parts of Michigan that are fun. Holland during tulip festival is beautiful.
They live near Whitehall, specifically. It's so nice in that it's a little town. When I was up there for my cousin's funeral back in 2005, it felt homey.
Hey, you ski better than me. I don't even get the skis. I just get smart and go directly to the fireplace. Granted, I've been a grand total of once, but I learned my lesson! Cold means park your tush where it's warm. Just like when it's hot as Hades down here, park your butt with the AC.
Michigan has found a new spokesperson in you, and couldn't be any luckier!
You sure do get around, dont''cha? ;)
