Me and ER, again!

Another cliff note post.
  • In ER Sunday night with these exact same symptoms.
  • Told them I was NOT having a heart attach so don't even go there.
  • Diagnosed myself as having gallstones and did tell them that.
  • (I know doctors hate that)
  • Had gall bladder taken out Tuesday 4 AM
  • Yes, I typed that right,4 AM
  • Had an awesome surgeon that loved having the OR to himself in the wee hours.
  • I just got home today.

I though gallstones was an "old person's" disease. I'm finding out it's not.
I am going to make sure I don't get a desire to eat dinners at 4:30 consisting of creamed corn, mashed potatoes and Salisbury steak though.

What took you so long to tell us, didn't they have wifi at the hospital? Kidding aside, thank goodness you are okay, I was starting to get worried.

Hope you have a speedy easy recovery! And do what your doctors tell you ... unless they're wrong, of course.

Holy moley!!! I'm glad you were able to self-diagnose and you had a good surgeon!! Last I heard you had a cold/allergies or something and then I come back and you've had surgery!! Take care of you and recovery well. Don't push too hard, too fast...and if I ever need a diagnosis, I know who to call!!

Damned girlfriend. If you wanted to feel old, you could have just come to Frankenmuth with us!

Hope you're feeling better and that you have a really, really quick recovery.

The Wife at The Time (TWATT ... can I type that here?) had her gall bladder removed when she was something like 37. Not too long after that her appendix came out.

When we played snugglebunnies I was able to find my way around in the dark via the Braille system.

I hope you're feeling better.

Oh my...I do hope that you are feeling better!! Tummy surgery of any kind just isn't really fun in the post-op part! move slow...don't push it...and take the drugs if they gave them to you!!

I had flashes of the old style cafeterias...like Luby's (or something)...where you get that HUGE tray for your food. My grandparents LOVED those places. I wanted to go screaming across the street to the Arbys!!!

Do you make diagnosis on only yourself or...can you do others?
I'm just asking....
Take care!

Wondered where you went. Hope you're feeling back to your old self in no time. Pun intended :) Seriously, take care.

You should be a doctor. I think I know more than my doctor sometimes but she never listens to me. Glad you made it home ok.

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery! There's no way you're going to start wanting to watch Matlock and eat supper at 4:30. You're far too fabulous!

Holy cow girl!!! You are gonna feel so much better now! I had mine removed when I was 27... yep. After years of being told to eat more apples. So sorry you had to go through it, but it's done now - yay!

First I've had a chance to read your blog in 2 weeks and what happens? I find you've been in the hospital and had surgery. I hope all went well. I had my gallblader removed about 2 years ago. It was a piece of cake. No after effects, moving well the next day. Hope the same for you. Love you. Call me soon
