I tore a jingle bell of a Christmas toy and stuck that little bell so far up my nose I was taken to the hospital for removal. I think I was around 3 or 4 years old.

I never stuck anything up my nose! I was always to busy trying to get stuff out of my nose.

Well, I guess I did stick my finger up there to get anything else out.

My mother did daycare all of her life, and had one child that she swore was breathing funny. The mother ignored my Mom's warnings and pleas to get him the doctor, until she insisted, saying "something is wrong! Your baby's head stinks!"

Turns out the lil thing had been shoving blanket lint and backing off his mattress cover, and had stuffed his sinuses with the stuff...where it sat...well, let's just say, decaying.

Enjoy your breakfast.

Emersyn, this past winter, stuck a peppermint Tic Tac up her nose after she got in bed for the night. Imagine my horror a minute after putting her down hearing her screams as the mint started to sting. Her runny nose worked the thing out but it didn't feel real good to her in the process, and she hasn't stuck anything up there since!

Having done a lot of stupid things in my life (as evidenced by your previous day's post), I can proudly say I that I NEVER stuck any foreign object up my nose. Woo hoo!

Never would have guessed this! Nancy...were the hairs in your nose that long that you needed a barrette?!?! :()

I never put anything up my nose, but my sister put a popcorn kernel up there and omg -- the pain and the agony as it started to swell!

I did have a bean up my nose when I was a teenager -- eating green beans, my sister made me laugh and as I did, the bean went "up"...omg..the pain of getting that out!!!!

when my brother was little he stuck a rock in his ear. it had to be surgically removed.
i know it's not a nose story, but it's close...

When my son was 4 during nap time he stuck a sticker off an apple up his nose. Earlier he had taken it off the apple and put it on his shirt. For some reason he wanted it off his shirt but was not allowed to get up during quiet time.

Well, it was like this: my grandparents had a gravel driveway. My older sister and I were sitting on the driveway. She picked up a pebble..... inserted it in her nose, and took it out. Then came the dare.
I also picked up a pebble and followed the leader. The difference was that the pebble I picked up was bigger, and my nose was smaller. Bad idea. I vaguely remember trying to tell my parents that nothing happened. They didn't believe me :-)
And a trip to the pediatrician for pebble removal followed.

I don't think I ever got anything stuck up my nose, but I choked on a really big vitamin C when I was in Jr high once. It was a very traumatic experience, but thank God I lived to tell the tale.
