Better the Second Time Around?

The past couple days, as I lay on the couch cursing the fact that I am sick, I found myself channel surfing. I watched a couple of my favorite episodes from MASH, Friends, Sex and the City, and Seinfeld.

I know I have seen all of these shows episodes several times over. I can quote the next line as I watch some of them.

One thing I realized though, I never watched any of these shows during their first run, original seasons. I only started watching as they became reruns in syndication.

Do you have a favorite series TV show that you never watched during it's original airing, but watched after it had been released again?

I never watched it on TV but I am catching up on the series "Entourage" and I totally love it. I think there's an impatience thing that works in your favor when you don't have to wait week to week for new episodes, it keeps the love alive! :)

I got totally hooked on reruns of "Mad About You" when I was housebound after surgery a few years ago. Because they ran more than one a day, I thnk I ended up seeing just about every episode. The one I wish I'd seen is when they explained why they named their daughter Mabel. There had to be a good reason for THAT name.

Glad to know you're watching light-hearted fare that helps heal the soul as well as the body. Laughter is so good for you!

"Friends" is one...and I started watching "Two and a Half Men" in syndication...but have started watching it (before the strike) on regular prime time. I'm an "I Love Lucy" fanatic...have seem them all way too many times...and it was one I watched only in syndication before I wasn't born when it started on tv!!

My husband got me hooked on Dallas and Magnum PI. He just couldn't accept that I didn't watch them in the 80s.

I LOVE SEX AND THE CITY. Love them.

Wish I were Carrie Bradshaw sometimes!

Since we don't have HBO, Showtime etc there are a few I catch when they come out on dvd: Entourage and Weeds. I went back and rented old The Office episodes to catch up.
As far as shows gone into syndication, I really don't watch much t.v. I know in college my husband and his roommate would stay up for Taxi re-runs. They never caught it the first time around.

Let's see, I don't think I've started watching a show after it went completely off the air and into syndication. But, I have started watching after the 1st or 2nd season. Sex and the City is one of them, and Law & Order, too.

Sex in the City. Seinfeld. Friends. Everybody Loves Raymond. Law & Order. Oh, hell, everything that's not sports.

For about 10 years, I have had to rely on videos of American TV from my mom and slowly non-Japanese TV has gotten better...but, we never get things at the same time. For example...I'm watching Gray's Anatomy (mmmmmmmm), but we are a season behind..as with Cold Case and House and other FOX shows that I love!!!
I also lurve watching Raymond and Seinfeld...but my favorite to watch is M*A*S*H reruns....those never get old!!! Does anyone remember the trivia game they made about the series?? That was fun to play!!
Glad you are feeling better...that picture from your last post is still kind of "haunting" me....~~shudder~~

Since Mrs. Joe left, I have been watching Family Guy reruns.

Soon I'm going to put a fridge in the living room for my beer and sit in my underwear eating nothing but cold pizza.
