Diet Update

I don't want to be a dieting blogger, but here is an update. Maybe a once a month update so I have something to be accountable to other than my bathroom scale.

After two weeks on Weight Watchers, I am 9 pounds lighter. It's pretty easy to follow, just counting points, and I haven't had to changed much in what I eat. I do need to work on exercising more.

I may try Dixie's suggestion for a fast loss of a few more pounds, and to tune up the digestive track. WARNING: Not for the weak stomach.

If I lived by Mary, I would join her on Runyon Cannon for some hiking, with the motivation of seeing a celebrity or two as she usually does.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Since blogging about poop seems to be my favorite past time, it wouldn't be right if I didn't comment.

I'm all for this...I just may give it a try when I come home.

I had a colonoscopy a few years ago because I either couldn't go or couldn't stop going...there was no in between. When I did the prep, OMG...I saw herbs/seasonings I had put on my bowl of food at Mongolian BBQ six months before. Who knows what else gets caught up in there.

And that is the end of my "too much info" moment.

Yikes... yea that site is gross, but grosser thinking what is living in our colons. What did your doctor tell you to use for a prep?

I had to do the GoLytely, which is a gallon jug where you drink one glass every 10 minutes til it's gone. The taste was disgusting. You need a prescription too.

From my days at the pharmacy, a lot of doctors used the Fleet Phospho Soda prep instead of the GoLytely. You can get this at the drug store without a prescription. You mix it with water (you might be able to get away with juice or another drink...I can't remember) and it's soooo much easier.

I do WW too. I did fall off the wagon for a few weeks, but I crawled back up on there yesterday.

If you do the cleanse, just be prepared to feel like crap while you are doing it. It is really an energy zapper. But once you're all done you'll feel like a new woman. I swear!

Congrats on your weight loss. I can't help much. I didn't do well on WW. I was too hungry. I have done a cleanse. It was weird. Coincidence or not, I felt really depressed. Maybe all those toxins were hitting me mentally one last time. I was better a few days later. Thanks for stopping by.

Actually, you're 6 pounds heavier. I've been tampering with your scale.

Plain, non-fat stonyfield yogurt with a tablespoon of sugar free jam, some fake sweetener and a 1/2 cup fiber one. All that is ONE point and it fills you up well.

Congrats!!!! Way to go1

and I would like to try a cleanse but I'm scared!! All that pooping! What if I can't make it to the bathroom in time, will I crap my pants?

My only suggestion is that if you go to see mary, you take me with you! ;)
