"What becomes of the broken hearted..."

"...who had love that's now departed?"*

Remember my sad love story this past winter?

He lost his mate.
She got hit by a car.
He pined for days.

I kept getting all choked up when I saw him wait endlessly for her.

Happily, he's got spring fever and a new mate.

It appears she's mended his broken heart.

They've been strutting (and pooping) all over the front lawn of where I work.
But, please Casanova, stop taking your lady so close to the road.

Did you not learn anything?

I got my ducks all pinned up because knucklehead Kaiser Manduck keeps running straight for the road. Not that I get many passer bys, but when I do, they are hauling butt and will not stop.

I think the road is warm, which attracts bugs which attracts birds and we know roads attract cars and very large trucks and sooner or later we got road kill or worse, somebody swerves to avoid a duck and someone gets really hurt in a car.

I saw goose babies today and thought of your geese. I'm glad he found someone.

Did they register for gifts?
