Seasons

This was taken just a couple hours ago.

April in Michigan, my street, and snow. What season is this?

And, a man and his dog that have seen many seasons.

Every morning, winter, spring, summer, fall I see this old man walk by my house.

His body is crooked. He's hunched over and his wobbly legs need the help of a cane to make it through his morning walk.

The old German Shepard is his constant companion. He too is old, but his steps are in sync with this old man. Every morning.

Sometimes I peer out my front window until they are out of sight. I've wanted to talk to him, but I have yet to catch his attention.

Which ever leaves this world first, the man or his dog, I'm sure the other won't be far behind.

You've captured seasons in so many ways -- you'll miss that pair when they no longer cross your path! Hope you find an opporunity to say hello one of these days!!

And yes...crazy April weather. We've got rain & snow happening together here -- meant to be like this for the next few days. We know it's April - Mother Nature is getting old and hard of hearing!

I too have an elderly gentlemen who walks his pooch every day by my house. His name is Mr. Fletcher and his Yori is Toby. He always has something interesting to say, expecially when he invites one over to partake in his home-made peach ice cream. Maybe your guy makes ice cream too. You will never know until you say hello.

I was awakened at midnight when American called to tell me my flight had been cancelled. I went into the office and called their reservations line to rebook and saw it coming down, fast and furious.

I'm ready for this to be over.

Meet your old man soon. And pet his dog. You did a lovely job with the description.

Spring snow! I have an older man who jogs by my house almost every day. Over time, I've watched his older man legs get buffed.

Oh you have the weather we had yesterday or was it Saturday hmm...

Something about the mystery isn't there, and comforting too to see them (man and his companion) daily....

Nice post!

Great pic! And I was whining because it's 38 here this morning.

It just quit snowing here (in Central Ohio). Today we had big, friendly flakes -- and a lot of them.

Yesterday's snow was more windblown and wet. Sleet-like.

There were no old guys on the street.

I would have to travel for hours to have a look at snow. It looks lovely in a suburban street. However, when overseas last year I was shocked at how cold it had to be to actually snow. I was very unprepared for it.

We have a couple of regular dog walkers that pass our home. One has had three dogs. She gets them from the RSPCA and they are often old, so they never last that long but they have a good life thanks to her.

This reminds me of yellow shorts guy. Every year, we know it's springtime when this man goes jogging in his yellow shorts in my mom's neighborhood. Every year. For 22 years. We think they might even be the same shorts.

We have geese around my office and I've seen the lonely too.

Even though they can be really mean (especially if you get too close to the nest, nevermind the formed it right next to the main entrance), it is very sad to see them wandering and looking for their mate.
