Adding a Little Spice

Last June I posted this photo of Caitlin and her friends from 5th grade, dressed as the Spice Girls.

Sadie, Caitlin's friend since kindergarten, her mother Bea, and I are going tomorrow night to The Palace of Auburn Hills to see them.

I know they're more of a novelty and less of a talent so I'll add a bottle glass of wine and it'll be a good time.

We have nosebleed seats, but with ticket prices from $400-$800 for mediocre seats, I'll risk any temporary hypsophobia.

We're meeting for dinner before the show, I'll be sure to take a photo of Cait and Sadie, 10 years later! I'm sure we won't be getting any photos of the Spice Girls, well, that's recognizable.

I can't WAIT for pictures! Take them before and after the bottle of wine!!

I can't believe what people pay for tickets these days. The Rolling Stones - yeah, I can see it. But pretty much everybody else? I just don't get it.

Have a blast!!

I didn't know they were still on tour. I thought I read they had canceled it midway through. Have fun. My son denies I took him to the Backstreet Boys when he was in 1st grade.

I hope that you have a grand time. Enjoy the show. It is hard to believe that the Spice Girls or anyone for that matter can charge those prices.Years ago, my husband and I saw the Fifth Dimension at the Schubert Theater in Chicago. The performers looked less than an inch high.

Loved the photo of Caitlin and her friends as the Spice Girls! 10 years ago? Where does the time go?? I hate saying that but it's so true.

Hope you had a blast at the show -- dinner will have been good, the wine will help (I'm with you on the amount) and can't wait to see your own spice girls, 10 years later!

So, um, do you think a bit of air brushing went on in that photo?
