Sistah Hillary

When Hillary gave her speech Tuesday night, I knew a few lines would be quoted and make for future punchlines. The two obvious:

[thank you] to my sisterhood of the traveling pantsuits...

and
No Way. No How. No McCain.

But what about Bill Clinton? Did the pride he showed come from his heart? Were the watery eyes genuine? His mouthing the words "I love you, I love you forever", were they from a husband in a marriage that has come full cycle? (sorta)

I'll play the American Fairy Tale card and say I believe so.

But then again, anyone who has been married three times (moi) is a sucker for romance!

My MIL is voting Democrat, but she said when Bill started mouthing how he loves Hillary, she had to change the channel because she thought she was gonna throw up, and not because she thought it was sweet. lol

I missed it altogether...that's what YouTube is for.

I loved the "sisterhood of the traveling pantsuits" line! As for Bill's "I love you's"...I about gagged...and I love me some Bill Clinton...I just couldn't deal, though. Sorry, Bill.

I thought Hillary's "jokes" were too scripted and didn't feel natural whereas Bill's funnier moments seemed to be off the cuff. I didn't see the 'I love you' stuff. Thankfully.

The "travelling pantsuits" was pretty good...

As for Bill's tears -- perhaps they were tears of "oh honey, if I hadn't been such a useless husband when I was in office, you might have been listening to Obama back you"......yeah, I'm thinkin'.....

I didn't know Bill was mouthing "I love you" to her during the speech. I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. I don't buy any of it.

The pantsuit line...she's so never going to live that down.

Sherry: Yes, and I think he hurt her campaigning for her more than helped. He probably sees that now.

My favorite line so far was NY Governor Dave Patterson: "If McCain's the answer, the question must be ridiculous."

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Bill.

I saw just about 10 seconds of this when it was rebroadcast on the news. It was the part with Bill speaking.

I just like the guy.

I'm a pretty big fan of Bill's too...so am extremely glad I missed the "I love you's"...I did notice that he looked really proud of her...THAT was nice to see.
My favorite line of Hillary's had to do with the reference to the Rep. convention in the Twin Cities and how Bush and McCain are resembling twins....need to find the quote, becuase I laughed out loud!!! and yeah....I teared up a bit...girldfriend can work a room!!

I don't mind saying it but I think there two bad things about Hillary. First, lose the pant suits. Maybe I am looking at it all wrong but I think the look stinks on her. She would look better in a black dress with a nice string of pearls. Second. Lose Bill. I really have to agree that he hurt her more than he helped her. He is still a liar in my book and always will be. I think those tears were fake. I wonder if he was thinking "I love you honey" when he was with you know who.

McCain is simply way too old to be president. I think Madonna or even that Sweet Transvite would make a better president. Hey there is a look for Hillary. :)

She is the queen of the pantsuits! I can't look at one and not think of her.

Now, my 2 confessions:

1. I love Bill. Always have. I was a die hard Clinton fan during his campaign. I was in nursing school and had time to follow him around. I went to a couple of rallies and wore anti-Busch shirts.

2. Now I'm a republican. I never thought I would see the day but my circumstances are different now from my college days. Will you still be my friend?

Did anyone notice that Hillary didn't in her line up of being 'a proud,..mom..senator' did not say wife!! Am thinkin 'ol Bill really meant 'I'm sorry I'm sorry..'

Also liked the pantsuit tribute!
