New Year Cooties

It's the 2nd day of the new year, and I'd like to think I have met my germ quota for 2008.

Since I have been sick the past couple months with cooties of all sorts, I hoped my celebrating of "out with the old, in with the new" would include the end of being sick.

I had a fun-filled New Years Eve celebration, the usual girls night out, but with more fanfare. Even the ride home at 2am, in the snowstorm that turned out to be 8-10" in my area, wasn't bad.

It was waking up, not hung-over, but with a huge sore throat and sinus infection, that has kept me in bed until just a few minuted ago. I was asleep by 8 O'clock last night, and just got up now (2pm) ... I don't ever recall sleeping that long.

My Google reader is on overtime, so I think I will go catch up with all your posts I have missed, then maybe go back to bed.

Thanks for the e-mails wondering where I am, it's good to be missed.

That sounds divine - the sleeping in, not the being sick.

Happy new year Nancy. I hope you get better soon. Very soon. Enough is enough.

I love sleeping in...being sick? Not so much...unless there's Nyquil involved and then I am in!!!

I also slept a lot---for me. #1 daughter had us all beat, though: she
shuffled down the stairs at 3pm.
Happy 2008.

Sore throat? Sinus? Yuck and double yuck...I'm thinking you didn't have enough alcohol the night before to kill the germie buggers!!!!!

The sleep will have done you good...more liquids and back to bed with you missy!!! Be well soon!

I was wondering where you were. I got so use to an everyday blog that when you now miss a day I go into withdrawal.

So sorry to hear you're sick again.Stay in bed and drink plenty of fluids. Call me if you want some chicken soup.

What an icky start to the new year. Hope it's already passed, but if not, my last two blog entries were about home remedies for colds.

Poor baby! Bummer that you're still fighting germs. Certainly not a good way to start the new year. Take care and feel better soon.....I'll wish you Happy New Year when you're in a better mood for it. ;)

I get a flu ever January and July whether I need one or not.

Didn't get one this year, however. What's up with that? Think I'll die this year?

You should have gotten hung over. Why do you think people drink this time of year, naturally to kill the germs.

I'm all sorts of good news, huh?

So like, how soon can we expect you back in the saddle?

I clicked in because I read the title as "New Year CooKies" and I was hungry. Appetite's gone now, though.

Aud Ron got it right - you didn't drink enough to kill all the viruses and germs. So now I'm off to steam clean my keyboard and monitor - just in case you're infectious.
